NZ Vegan Podcast Episode 1

Listen HERE

Welcome! This is my first podcast, it was recorded a few days ago and it took me a while to upload but I am just keeping this post as my way of introducing myself. Happy New Year!

  1. Just listened and enjoyed hearing your story. I very much relate to the "nothing else makes sense to me" line with respect to the abolitionist approach. I've already linked to this podcast from my blog. Thanks for your efforts and obvious passion, which are both valuable and enviable.

  2. I too just listened to your story... The way you describe your need to "talk about it" is perfectly understandable. I was an "ethical" vegetarian for 5 years. Never knowing the cruelty in eggs and dairy. When I made the discoveries - I was very angry at being deceived. Like you, *overnight* I became vegan and began to question all Animal Rights issues.

I think it's wonderful that you've found an outlet to "vent" and to hopefully teach more people about the importance of becoming vegan.

Looking forward to listening to more of what's on your thoughtful mind. :)

  3. Hey knuckles! Just found your podcast & listened to episode one - lovely to hear your story & know that there are compassionate and passionate people like yourself spreading the vegan message in NZ. I'm from Wellington, currently side tracked in London, but will be heading back to NZ within the next year. Hopefully we can get in touch sometime - I'd love to help in any way possible. Take care & kia kaha! xo

  6. Hi Elizabeth,

I'm starting from the beginning of your podcasts! I've been listening random episodes for months now but I'm going to get serious about meeting my goal of listening to every single post!
Sometimes being a vegan can be very stress for the reasons you mention like feeling very alone and not having anyone who shares abolitionist views. I've been really feeling this stress lately. Luckily, you have a very calming voice and we agree on so much that I consider this site to be a sanctuary for me.

    Take care,
    Amy
